From what's new to tried and true
Welcome everyone! Whether this is your first newsletter or you’ve been reading us for a while, we’re happy to have you here and we’re excited to show you what we’ve got on the docket!

First up, it’s almost time for our Spring Book Sale! Run by the Friends of the Library, each book has been carefully gone through so you only get the best. Taking place April 4th-6th, we invite you to check out the curated selection of books, movies, music, puzzles, and games that the Friends have organized for you~
As always, Friday will be the Friends Only sale from 6-8pm. If you’re looking to join the Friends and get that early access while helping out the Library, now’s your chance! If it’s not your thing, the general sale will be on Saturday from 9am-1pm. The final day of the sale will be Sunday from 1-3pm and will be the $5 bag sale! Fill your bag (provided by the Friends) and make out like a proverbial bandit with the steal of a deal. The Friends accept cash, checks, and credit cards, so however you want to stock up on your new stack of reading, they’ve got you.
Just a reminder, unlike most libraries, we don’t accept donations during the week of or after the book sale! Because the Friends go through everything for you, we ask you to wait to bring in your donations until April 14th when they will be recovered. We’ll happily accept them then!

Ready for your next thrill? After the whirlwind of the book sale, the Horror and Thriller Book club will be having it’s next meeting on Monday, April 14th at 6:30pm, and we’d love to see you there as we explore the realms of the macabre and the psychological! This month we’ll be discussing “Lone Women” by Victor LaValle— no registration required. Bring friends, suggestions for novels or authors, and get ready for a good time!

Clicquot Book Club, our once a month get-together to talk books where you don’t have to read a word or them first, is coming! This month, to accommodate the books sale, It will be taking place on Thursday, April 10th at 2pm. Hear what’s new in books, what makes a great read, and discover reader favorites as we discuss several new releases and our opinions of them. Discussions are lively, full of laughter and we serve light refreshments.
The only thing missing is you. No registration required!

Join us on Thursday, April 10th at 6pm for Financial Empowerment for Creative Entrepreneurs, a workshop designed to help artists, creatives, and small business owners take control of their finances. Learn practical strategies for managing cash flow, budgeting, and building financial sustainability so you can focus on your passion without financial stress. Whether you're just starting out or looking to scale, this session will provide the tools and insights you need to thrive!
This event will be hybrid and attendees can attend either in person or via Zoom. Please register here (to attend either in person or virtually).

We hope you're ready for another night of dedicated 'you' time! Color and Chill is coming back on Friday, April 11th, so hop down to the library, grab a coloring sheet (or bring your own!) and take this opportunity to relax with us. As always, the room will be open around 4pm if you want have longer with your coloring, and snacks and music will start at 6:30pm. No registration necessary, just bring yourself!

Not all Artificial Intelligence is bad! Come get familiar with popular, free artificial intelligence programs like ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grammerly, and Smartly with our Intro to AI. Learn to distinguish between different types of artificial intelligence apps, who owns them, what they do, and determine which ones might work for you! We’ll be running this program as part of Millis Reads on Tuesday, April 15th at 7pm, so come see what it’s all about! No registration required.

Get your game on! The next meeting of Board Game Night is going to be Thursday, April 17th at 6pm and we're here to invite you to play! Meet new friends, face old rivals, and get ready to play our featured game of the month. Register here to let us know what kind of games we should bring out - a game for 4 isn't the same as a game for 10, after all. The landscape of tabletop gaming has been changing so much over the years we can promise you that if you think you know board games, there's still so much to surprise you!

Join us for Teen TV: Retro Night where we’ll be showing three classic episodes from the 80s, 90s, and 00s on Friday, April 18th at 6pm! See what was popular in decades past (and get bragging rights if you've caught them before)! We've got the snacks - just bring yourselves! Recommended for grades 6th-8th, no registration required.
