MPL: Frightful Fall

Join us....

Hello!

We hope the long, rainy weekend (we needed it, but we know it didn’t help with plans) treated you well! October is half-way through, and the second half of our month is jam-packed with things for you.

First up is the return of Board Game Night this Thursday, October 16th at 6pm. You all know the drill for this one— come down for a community game night and meet new friends over our featured game! We have a new one to play each month, or you’re welcome to shake things up by bringing in your favorite game to teach. We welcome gamers of all levels, and we just want everyone to have a good time. Let us know you’re coming here so we can pick a game that’ll be fun for everyone!

At the end of the week, we’ll also be showing this month’s Friday Feature! Join us on Friday, October 17th at 1pm for the classic film “Arsenic and Old Lace”; a horror-comedy featuring Cary Grant. Stop in for the fun, have some snacks, and check out the upcoming features we have here, all courtesy of the Friends of the Millis Public Library. No registration required.

1944 (G) 118min

When Mortimer Brewster (Grant) brings his new bride to meet his two kindly aunts, he discovers that, among many other acts of charity, the two genteel ladies help lonely old men die happy ... by feeding them a wonderful meal before poisoning them. Now, Mortimer desperately wants to protect the two serial murderers he loves, stop them from killing anyone else and keep his bride from discovering how deranged his family really is.

After the afternoon movie, we’ve got a Teen Movie Night! Join us on Friday, October 17th at 6pm for a (musical) horror classic of innocuous bad decisions piling up— “Little Shop of Horrors”. Bring your friends and blankets, we’ll get the candy and snacks. No registration required.
