MPL: New Friends November

Hello again, friends! We’re still setting up our new calendar, but that’s no reason to not let you know about what’s coming up!

Before that, if you’re free this Thursday, November 7th, why not pick up some new books for the long weekend? Clicquot book club is a book club that defies all the usual trappings of the word: you don’t even have to read the books before you come! The club’s fearless leader presents a selection of new titles spoiler free and lets you take home the novels of your choice (and sign up for the ones you might want later)! They meet the first Thursday of each month at 2pm, light refreshments provided, and no registration required!

We know it’s been a bit of a stressful time, and to help with it, we’ve scheduled Color and Chill for this Friday, November 8th. Come down and take some well-deserved ‘you’ time. We’ll have new coloring sheets and everything you’ll need to get into the zone and color for a bit. Snacks and music will start at 6:30pm but, the room will be set up earlier to let you get more time with your choice of coloring pages. Bring your own supplies if you so desire, no registration necessary.

Our friends at One-Up Games are returning to the library for a special Teen event on Friday, November 15th from 4-7pm and we'd love to have you! Join us (or have your teens join us) for Open Game Play and check out everything from classics to the latest hot titles, playing to your heart's content. We’re here to let you start your weekend off epically!

Speaking of an amazing game night, Board Game Night is coming back for it’s monthly meeting! Join us on Thursday, November 21st at 6pm to hang out, play our featured game, and meet or reconnect with new members of the gaming community! Feel free to bring a game you love to teach if you want to share, but don’t worry! No gaming experience is necessary— we welcome players of all skill levels.

Last on our list, due to popular request, Latin Dance Class is returning to the Millis Public Library! Starting Monday, November 25 at 6pm, join instructor Jaime Staraitis for a free salsa dance class at the Library! This drop in class is free to attend and will be held on December 9th and 23rd as well this year. No partner or prior experience necessary!
