MPL: Spring colors
From Art to History to Music
Hello friends! March is just flying by, and the end of the month and the beginning of April are jam-packed for us—and hopefully for you too, if you find something that sounds fun! We just have one down note that we’ll get out of the way first.
Due to technical difficulties, we’ll be postponing our Friday Movies. We’ll hopefully have the issue resolved soon, and will tell you in the next newsletter. If you want to check each week, visit the movies page on the library website.
Now that we have the bad news out of the way, let’s get into everything else! We’re looking for volunteers to help with our spring cleanup on Saturday, April 6th starting at 9am. The more people available to help, the quicker we can get everything in shape for spring blooms! For those that volunteer to help, Kim will be sending out more details closer to the date.
If you'd like to volunteer this year, please email Library Director Kim Tolson at [email protected].
Next, it’s also time for the Friends of the Millis Public Library’s annual scholarship! The Friends are pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior and Millis resident with firm plans to pursue further education and who has shown a commitment to community service, especially related to libraries, literacy, and/or reading. Millis High School Students should contact the Guidance Office. All other high school seniors please submit your application here.
Lastly, just a heads up: if you missed our last book sale we have another one coming up in a bit over a month! Mark your calendars for the first weekend in May because the Friends still have so much waiting in the wings for you! We’ll have more information closer to the date so stay tuned.

With our announcements concluded, its time for the fun stuff! Next up, it’s time for another Teen Anime Night. On Friday, April 5th we’ll be showing the first My Hero Academia movie: Two Heroes (better known as the one with the suits). Bring your friends, maybe some blankets, and we’ll provide the snacks and drinks. The movie starts at 6pm, so we’ll look forward to seeing you then!
